A Case Report of Soyangin Patient with Candida Esophagitis Treated with Yanggyeoksanhwa-tang

Abstract
|
|
|
Objective To report the improvements with Yanggyeoksanhwa-tang on Soyangin patient with candida esophagitis.
Method The patient complained epigastric pain, globus pharyngeus, heat sensation in the face. He got treated centered on Korean medicine including herbal medicine, acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, moxibustion and antifungal medication. His chief complaints were measured by Numeric Rating Scale, his subjective assessments and changes of patient’s diet and stool.
Results The patient’s chief complaints were relieved and his diet and stool were improved.
Conclusion This case revealed a possibility that Yanggyeoksanhwa-tang could improve symptoms of patient with candida esophagitis which is accompanied by a sense of heat.
